8 Easy Steps to Add Visual Media to Your LinkedIn Profile

 

When it comes to visually attractive web pages, many website designers will impress upon you the importance of whitespace. The user interface design of your LinkedIn profile now displays a lot of whitespace, the trouble is this is damaging your ability to stand out.

That is why the use of visual media in your LinkedIn profile is even more critical now, in the Summary and especially now in the most recent Experience position.

8 easy steps to stand out:

  1. From your Home page view your Profile which automatically makes it edit format.

  1. On the Profile go to the Summary section and click on the edit pen icon on the top right-hand side of the Summary section

  1. Scroll down to the Media section in the Edit Intro section

  1. Either Upload the media you want to such as video or paste or type a web link to the file or video you want to add. Then click Save.
  1. Now repeat for the most current position in the Experience section.
  1. On the Profile go to the Experience section and click on the edit pen icon on the top right-hand side.

  1. In the Edit Experience box that pops up go down to the Media section and either Upload the media you want to, such as video or paste or type a web link to the file or video you want to add.

8. Save
