12 Days of Personal Branding – Day 9

On the ninth day of Christmas my brand strategist advised to me;

 

Dump the resume,

Build a communications plan,

Have a clear PBS,

Know your key strengths,

Make.. it… u-n-i-q-u-e.

Decide on a niche,

Conduct a 360,

Set measurable goals,

and have very clear and focused VP’s.

 

The resume may not be dead, but as a first point marketing tool it should be! If you have spent all your time defining your personal brand, why then take the same route in showcasing yourself by producing a resume – everyone else is doing that.

 

Consider alternatives to the resume as career marketing pieces – make your uniqueness and skills shine and make it more personal.
