Last night, as President, I hosted the quarterly meeting of the Hamilton & Area Coaching Association – a collection of local coaches and consultants who meet to network, share ideas and resources and generally try to forward the impact of coaching to a wider community.
The speaker was a good friend and coach, John Kuypers of Performance Shift and he was talking on "Igniting Client Self-Discovery by Being Present". All too many times we are just there but not present in conversations and interactions and he gave us some great insights, examples and practical tips on dealing with this.
He also shared this quote. which I think is very applicable to the authenticity of personal branding;
"Change occurs when one becomes 'What He Is' , not when he tries to become 'What He Is Not"
Could not have said it better myself.
