An article yesterday in the UK newspaper The Daily Telegraph reports that Lady Margarent Thatcher the former UK Prime Minister is suing the BBC over mis-use of one of her copywrited phrases.
The phrase 'treachery with a smile on its face' was used to describe her ousting as leader of the Conservative party by her cabinet colleagues.
The BBC was running a week long 'Thatcher Week' and used the phrase over 400 times – Thatcher and her co-writers sued. The BBC has offered a sum which has been rejected.
