Email is alive and well. Believe me, it’s better for your marketing.
After all, have you noticed how much more junk is appearing in your social media feeds?
I conducted an unscientific review of my LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook feeds this week and found 3-5-3 in my feeds.
LinkedIn – every 3 posts (like clockwork) was a Promoted post.
Instagram – every 5 posts (sometimes less) was either an ad or a recommended profile to follow.
Facebook (seems to be getting worse by the day) – every 3 posts was either a recommended profile, page or group or sponsored post.
If you are relying on social media to drive your business the chances are people are exhausted, scrolling faster or just plain ignoring your posts.
You must get people off social media as quickly as possible and have them join your email list.
Apart from the obvious of you controlling the message, email is the one address someone is never moving from, regardless of where they live!
Here’s why you need to spend more time focused on building your email list;
- Direct Connection with Your Audience
Think about it—when someone gives you their email address, they’re essentially giving you the permission to show up directly in their inbox.
No social media algorithms are messing with your reach.
You control the conversation, and that’s a game-changer.
This kind of permission-based marketing makes email far more personal and powerful than many other channels.
- Incredible ROI and Cost Efficiency
If you’re looking for the best bang for your hard-earned dollars, email is the clear winner.
Some data reports that for every dollar spent on email marketing, businesses average $36 in return. I have had clients build an email list and totally change the direction and revenues of their business.
You can create targeted campaigns. Whether you’re running a solopreneur business or a mid-sized company, email gives you the chance to reach hundreds—or thousands—of people at a fraction of the cost of paid ads.
- Automation and Measurable Results
One of the best features is automation. From welcoming new subscribers to sending out regular updates, automating your emails helps you stay consistent without being hands-on every day.
Plus, you get real-time insights into what’s working—open rates, click-through rates, and conversions all tell a story. If something’s off, you can tweak and improve quickly.
Email is not dead and it’s not going anywhere.
If you haven’t built a strategy yet, you’re missing out on the direct engagement it builds. Start small, test, and watch your results grow.
Your next new piece of business is only a few clicks away!
