Because of commercial search limits on accounts or because a profile is further removed from you than 2nd degree it may be difficult to see a full profile. Kris asked if there was a way to still see their details. Here is a possible workaround.
Some of your ability to see what is on someone’s profile depends on how they have configured their privacy settings. This is the first action under the Privacy tab.
This then takes you to an older version view of your profile and on the right-hand column are the settings to make your profile searchable outside of LinkedIn or not. Below this is a menu list of profile items that you can check to display or not.
If the person has these settings set to visible to everyone you should be able to search their name on Google, or other search engines like Bing, and look at their profile without being logged into LinkedIn.
