The two Apprentice programs took an interesting twist this week. Firstly on Martha she asked the ineffective project leader of the losing team to leave and kept the disruptive loud mouth – makes for good TV? It probably did not help that the project manager was a District Attorney – not a group of people that Martha is likely to entertain for dinner any time soon!
The next night Donald fired the disruptive team member and kept the ineffective team leader to give her one more chance. Interestingly both Donald and Martha went against the main advice of their senior advisors who after the fact tended to agree with their respective decisions – interesting dynamic.
So which is more disruptive for a team - the loud maverick who still does a good job or the manager able to delegate tasks but unable to control the maverick - what do you think?
